Laesha grinned and went off with a bow. "Thank you, madam," she sang as she reached the breakfast table. She hummed a happy tune as she made her coffee and took a sip with a "Ah," and then got her hotcakes with all the blueberries she could get and skipped off to the syrup.
She was about to say, "I just love me some maple syrup," but instead, she gaped at the syrup bottle and almost screamed in agony. "No... more... SYRUP?!"
Laeshamei slowly put down her coffee and hotcakes and clutched her hair in clumps, wanting to pull it out. It's okay, she thought and laughed out of hysteria. Just ask them if they have any more. "Yeah," she said in a high pitched voice.
She went over to the kitchen maids. "Excuse me, but do you have any more syrup?"
"Sorry," they replied. "That's all for today."
Laesha screamed.
